POSITION: (FT) ARTC Program Coordinator - College of Education



Effective immediately: ARTC Program Coordinator, College of Education, Wilmington University.


Requirements: A Master's degree in education is required. At least three years of documented successful experience as a public-school teacher, licensure as a classroom teacher and certification in Special Education are required. The candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, service orientation, active listening, effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills. Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks. Knowledge of Delaware Department of Education Licensure and Certification regulations is preferred. Must be computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have the ability to type 35 - 55 wpm. Knowledge of Banner, DegreeWorks, Cognos, Taskstream, Smartsheet preferred. Able to work independently on various projects. The candidate must maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations.


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Create and send ARTC program documentation (such as Eligibility Letters, Completion Letters, Dismissal Letters, and Status to Completion Letters).
Maintain the ARTC databases in Smartsheet and monitoring candidate progress. This includes (but is not limited to) routine GPA and enrollment reports, and monitoring weekly Praxis II and PPAT score updates.
Assist the ARTC Program Chair with program completion and degree audits.
Assist candidates with program requirement and scheduling concerns, as directed by the ARTC Program Chair.
Collaborate with the ARTC Chair and the Chair of Special Education Programs to implement program policy and support candidate needs. Since ARTC candidates are only permitted, by federal regulations, to remain in the program for three years, the ARTC Program Coordinator plays a significant role in helping to monitor candidate progress and identifying candidates in need of additional support.
Assist with developing and implementing a plan of action for those who are at risk of not completing the program within the allotted time frame.
Triangulate program, state, and district data, and alerting the ARTC Chair of any concerns related to non-compliance with state and federal regulations
Assist the ARTC Chair with recruiting, training, and retaining, high quality coaches throughout the state.
Monitor the frequency and quality of interaction between candidates and coaches, assists coaches with program and candidate related concerns, and interacts with candidates who not abiding by the program requirements, under the guidance of the ARTC Chair.
Monitor and evaluate candidate Taskstream submissions that are a part of the Comprehensive Induction Program.
Develop and oversee Plans of Assistance (in collaboration with ARTC Chair).
Utilizes technology to manage and enhance alternative education program activities including data analysis and reporting, curriculum management, and professional development.
Conducts interviews to identify alternative education teacher candidates.
Select ARTC coaches and hold conferences with HR Directors and Principals.
All other duties as assigned by the ARTC Program Chair.


Hours of Employment: 8:30am - 4:30pm; Monday through Friday. Some evening and weekend hours may be required. Some travel required.
